Canoas Home and School Club

The Canoas Home and School Club is a non-profit organization that passionately supports our students, teachers, and families at Canoas School. Our programs are unique to our school and serve over 275 students. We fund a variety of diverse programs that reach all students at different grade levels. This philosophy is to educate the whole child through programs that enhance the core curriculum, expand the arts, integrate technology in the classroom, promote physical fitness and build a positive school learning environment. Together We Help Our Children Soar!

Throughout the year, various fundraisers are sponsored by the Home and School Club and Canoas Elementary.  Money raised goes to supporting all students with after school tutoring, the Science from Scientists program for 3rd - 5th grade students, field trips and educational assemblies, playground equipment and classroom supplies,  family events, and staff appreciation.  See how you can support our amazing community.

This program is no cost to families and friends who register.  By going to and registering your grocery cards (Safeway, PW, etc)  and your credit or debit cards, a portion of your purchase goes directly to Canoas Elementary.  It is an easy way to support our school.  It costs nothing to join, and no special cards are needed. For more information please go to eScrip website.

Each Fall, the Home & School Club sponsors a Read-a-Thon Kick Off event where families come out on a Saturday to enjoy a morning of hot cocoa and the reading of books!  Reading Logs and pledge sheets are sent home with all students the following Monday and the reading begins!  Families collect flat or per book donations.  The class with the most money collected wins a pizza party!  The class with the highest participation receives a popcorn or ice cream party.

Spring Walk-a-Thon:

Each Spring, Canoas Eagles lace up their sneakers and walk to raise money for their school.  Students earn prizes with each lap that they walk.  Just as with the Read-a-Thon, classes with the most money collected wins a pizza party and the classes with the highest participation win a popcorn or ice cream party.
